President Nicusor Dan, accompanied by his partner Mirabela Gradinaru, was welcomed by President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel at Prague Castle on Wednesday.
The head of state is paying an official visit to Prague at the invitation of his Czech counterpart.
According to the Presidential Administration, Nicusor Dan has scheduled meetings with President Petr Pavel, Prime Minister Andrej Babis and the presidents of the two chambers of the Czech Parliament, as well as a meeting with members of the Romanian community.
The talks will focus on Romanian-Czech cooperation at bilateral, European and allied level, with an emphasis on ensuring Europe's security in the face of threats arising from Russia's aggression against Ukraine.
