The institution of Parliament must be respected, not marginalised, PM-designate Siegfried Muresan said on Wednesday, ahead of the vote on the investiture of the Government he has proposed, reiterating that he will not resign his mandate.
'President of the Chamber of Deputies Sorin Grindeanu has repeatedly asked me to turn my back on Parliament by resigning my mandate as designated prime minister. The institution of Parliament must be respected, not marginalised. Today I will go to the Romanian Parliament to present our vision,' Muresan wrote on Facebook.
The Senate and the Chamber of Deputies will meet in a joint session on Wednesday to vote on the governing programme and the list of the Government proposed by designated prime minister Siegfried Muresan.
