MApN: Drone crashes near Solca in Suceava county

The radar surveillance system of the Ministry of National Defence (MApN) detected an aerial target on Thursday morning that entered the national airspace through northern Botosani county and remained in the national airspace for around four minutes before crashing near the locality of Solca, Suceava county, causing no casualties or material damage.

According to a MApN release sent to AGERPRES, intervention teams from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) arrived at the scene, secured the perimeter and identified a small-sized drone, with no fire at the crash site.

The quoted source also conveyed that, at 7:21am, an IAR-330 SOCAT helicopter took off from the 95th Bacau Air Base to monitor the situation in the area. AGERPRES (RO - writing by: Mihai Stoica; EN - writing by: Rodica State)
