Anniversary postal stationery item celebrates three decades since Margareta and Prince Radu's wedding

The Romanian Post has issued a commemorative postal stationery item marking 30 years since the marriage of Crown Custodian Margareta and Prince Radu.

'On the occasion of the upcoming celebration of 30 years since the marriage of Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Crown, and His Royal Highness Prince Radu, the Romanian Post has issued a commemorative postal stationery item,' the Royal Family of Romania announced on Thursday on its Facebook page.

The item features a photo from the couple's wedding, held on September 21, 1996 in Lausanne, while the upper right-hand section features an image of Her Majesty Margareta in a portrait taken at her wedding to Prince Radu.

The religious service was held at the Church of St. Gerasimos in Lausanne. The ceremony was officiated by Metropolitan Damaskinos of Switzerland, together with other priests, and the service was conducted in Romanian, Latin, Greek and English.
