President Nicușor Dan has several meetings and events scheduled in New York between 20 and 23 September, as part of his participation in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, according to the agenda published by the Presidential Administration. The President is scheduled to deliver Romania's national statement during the High-Level Week of the session on Wednesday 23 September at 16:30 Romania time. The address will be broadcast live on the Presidential Administration's website.

The president's agenda in the days leading up to the speech includes meetings with officials and representatives of American organizations and companies, as well as participation in events held on the sidelines of the UN gathering. On Sunday, Nicușor Dan is scheduled to meet with Ronald S. Lauder, president of the World Jewish Congress, and UN Secretary-General António Guterres. A visit to the 9/11 Memorial is also planned for the same day.

The program continues on Monday with a meeting with the Alliance of Former United States Ambassadors to Romania, as well as with representatives from the business community. Meetings are scheduled with Romanian entrepreneurs in the technology sector based in the United States, followed by meetings with representatives of JPMorgan Chase and investors in Romanian bonds in Romania.

On Tuesday, ahead of the opening of the High-Level Week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, scheduled for 16:00 Romania time, Nicușor Dan will attend the unveiling of ‘The Queen Marie of Romania Corner' in New York and is due to meet with representatives of the city's Romanian community.

Following Wednesday's speech, the agenda includes attendance at the Crimea International Platform Summit, followed by the UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine. Also on Wednesday, Nicușor Dan and Mirabela Grădinaru are scheduled to attend the traditional reception hosted by US President Donald Trump and Melania Trump.

Mirabela Grădinaru is accompanying the President on this trip and has, in turn, a number of engagements on her agenda, including meetings and events for first ladies and first gentlemen, as well as a summit organised by Olena Zelenska, the wife of the Ukrainian President.AGERPRES ( writing by: Mariana Ionescu)
