Austrian hard-enduro racer seriously injured during competition in the Lupeni area

A 54-year-old Austrian citizen was seriously injured during a hard-enduro competition in the Lupeni area, the Hunedoara County Police Inspectorate reported on Friday.

According to initial findings, the motorcyclist left the race course and crashed off the roadway. The man suffered severe injuries and was airlifted by a private helicopter to a medical facility in Cluj-Napoca for specialized treatment, police said.
