The Orchestra of the Bucharest National Opera, conducted by Daniel Jinga, will perform on July 12 on the open-air stage of Villa Rufolo, at the 74th edition of the Ravello International Festival, the Bucharest National Opera House announced in a statement.
The soloist of the concert will be violinist Alexandru Tomescu, who will perform Niccolò Paganini's Violin Concerto No. 2 in B Minor 'La Campanella'.
The programme also includes Romanian Rhapsody No. 2 by George Enescu and the 'Swan Lake' Suite by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
The concert is part of the Romania - Italy Cultural Year 2026, designed and promoted by the Romanian Embassy in Rome, with support from the Ministry of Culture and the Foreign Affairs Ministry, under the High Patronage of President Nicusor Dan and Italian President Sergio Mattarella.
The Orchestra of the Bucharest National Opera officially opened this bilateral programme in December 2025 with a concert at Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, and now returns to Italy to conclude it, after more than 50 events held across the peninsula.
The Ravello Festival annually brings together orchestras, soloists and guest conductors from major European cultural centres. The current edition features 22 concerts - symphonic, opera, baroque, jazz and chamber music - held between July 4 and September 5 in the main spaces of Villa Rufolo and the town of Ravello, with the panorama of the Amalfi Coast as a natural backdrop.
