Cosmina Pana wins two silver medals at World University Weightlifting Championship in Doha

Romanian weightlifter Cosmina Pana won two silver medals in the 53kg category, in the total and snatch events, at the World University Weightlifting Championship in Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday.

According to the official Facebook page of the Romanian Weightlifting Federation, the athlete, who represents CSM Bacau, lifted 78kg in the snatch and 96kg in the clean and jerk, finishing fourth in that event, for a total of 174kg.

All three gold medals in the 53kg category were won by Taiwan's Cheng Ting-I.

Romania is also represented at the World University Championship in Doha by Paul Ionita in the 110kg category, who is due to compete on 12 September. AGERPRES (RO - writing by: Marius Tone; EN - writing by: Adina Panaitescu)
