President Nicusor Dan said on Monday that Romanian Language Day is being celebrated for the first time in three countries - Romania, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine - and noted that protecting the rights of Romanians abroad and promoting the Romanian language and culture remain key objectives of the Romanian state beyond its borders.

The head of state stressed that Romanian is a 'valuable bond' that opens the way to the future.
