Romanian tennis player Cezar Cretu reached the final of the challenger tournament in Augsburg Germany (Schwaben Open) on Friday, with pizes worth 56,700 euros, after defeating Austria's Sandro Kopp 6-3, 7-5.
Cretu, (aged 25, ATP's 289th) won after one hour and 38 minutes, saving the only break point created by 8th seed Kopp ( aged 26, ATP's 292nd).
Cretu, the fifth seed, will play his second challenger final of the year, after losing the final in Chisinau in May.
Cezar Cretu has secured a cheque for 4,960 euros and 25 ATP points, while in the final he will face off Argentina's Facundo Mena (aged 33, ATP's 345th) in their first meeting. AGERPRES (RO - editing by: Mihai Tenea; EN - writing by: Rodica State)
