Romania's Amariei wins W15 Cluj-Napoca women's singles title

Romanian tennis player Ilinca Dalina Amariei, the third seed, defeated compatriot Teodora Miron, 6-2 6-2, on Sunday, in the final of the W15 Cluj-Napoca ITF tournament in Cluj-Napoca, prize money USD 15,000.

Amariei, 23, ranked 576th , prevailed in an hour and 12 minutes over a 16-year-old opponent.

She successfully defended her title won last year in Cluj-Napoca, reaching nine ITF titles in her career.

The doubles title went to Alesia Breaz/Patricia Georgiana Goina, the second seed, after 6-4 2-6 10-8 in the final against Alexia Iulia Marginean (Romania)/Marina Markina (Latvia). AGERPRES (RO - editing by: Mihai Tenea; EN - writing by: Corneliu-Aurelian Colceriu)
