Acting Defense Minister Radu Miruta confirmed on Saturday that another drone that had illegally entered Romanian airspace was shot down by Romanian military personnel.

'Another drone that illegally entered Romanian airspace was shot down by Romanian military personnel this morning at 8:34, 9.6 km west of the town of Sfântu Gheorghe. The drone was detected by Ministry of National Defence radars entering our airspace at 8:22 and was struck a few minutes later by a Romanian F-16 fighter jet,' Miruta wrote on Facebook.

Earlier, President Nicusor Dan made the announcement regarding the drone that was shot down in Romanian airspace.

'This morning, at 8:30, a new drone was shot down in Romanian airspace, 10 km west of the locality of Sfântu Gheorghe (Delta).
