More than 600 competitors from over 60 countries are expected at the 23rd edition of the Red Bull Romaniacs hard enduro competition, to be held in Sibiu between July 28 and August 1, the organizers announced Monday in a release.
Some of the world's best-known hard-enduro riders will line up at the start, including Graham Jarvis, Manuel Lettenbichler, Alfredo Gomez and Jonny Walker.
The competition has a nine-class format: Gold, Silver, Bronze, Iron, Atom, Adventure Ultimate, Adventure Core, Adventure Lite and eMoto Hobby.
The programme opens on July 27 with the official ceremony and the Parade of Nations. Prologue qualifying runs are scheduled for July 28, between 7:00 and 16:00, followed by the final at 17:00 on Corneliu Coposu Boulevard in Sibiu.
The Prologue will be followed by several days of racing on off-road tracks around Sibiu. Both the Prologue and the final, along with multiple sections of the off-road stages, will be broadcast live and watched by spectators worldwide.
Red Bull Romaniacs founder Martin Freinademetz said the presence of more than 600 competitors, their teams and thousands of visitors brings significant benefits to hotels, restaurants, service providers and other local businesses.
