Canadian Foreign Minister on official visit to Romania; talks with ForMin Toiu and President Dan

Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand will pay an official visit to Romania on Monday, on which occasion she will meet interim Foreign Minister Oana Toiu and will be welcomed by President Nicusor Dan.

The visit takes place at the invitation of Romanian Foreign Minister Oana Toiu.

The agenda of discussions between Anita Anand and Oana Toiu will include strengthening the bilateral agenda, with a focus on economic and security area cooperation, as well as an opinion exchange on the main topics on the agenda of the allied foreign ministers to be organised as part of the NATO Summit of Ankara, according to the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE).

After the consultations, the two ministers will hold a press conference.

Subsequently, Anita Anand will be welcomed at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace by President Nicusor Dan. AGERPRES (RO - writing by: Florin Marin; EN - writing by: Adina Panaitescu)
