Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) leader George Simion said on Tuesday, after consultations at the Cotroceni Palace, that no Government can be formed without his party.

'The AUR came before Nicusor Dan with a proposal to overcome the crisis and with a proposal for prime minister,' he said.

Simion argued that the AUR was the only party to respect the will of the Romanian people and that the period since the dismissal of the Bolojan Government had been 'a lost month.'

'It has been a lost month because we were not listened to. We were right about everything we said,' he added.

George Simion said the president had 'persisted in violating the democratic will and the Constitution' by making appointments based on 'personal preference.'

The AUR leader said that even the removal of the president from office is being considered. AGERPRES (RO - writing by: Oana Ghita; EN - writing by: Rodica State)
