Dumitru Coarna, an unaffiliated parliamentarian, declared on Tuesday, following consultations at the Cotroceni Palace, that the proposal for the prime minister designate would come from the PSD.

He also specified that in this way the provisions of Article 103 of the Constitution would be respected.

'It seems that there will be a single-party PSD government and we will see the support. (...) That's how I understood it. There were extensive discussions. I asked specifically - that he insisted on a minority government - and I asked, if it is still a minority government, we respect 103, that is, to go to the party that has the most parliamentarians. And here, of course, it's PSD with 128. I understood that yes, the designation should come from this area and that it will be a single-party government. That's how I understood it. I hope I understood it correctly', he told a press conference held at the Cotroceni Palace. AGERPRES(RO - writing by: Irinela Visan; EN - writing by: Bogdan Gabaroi)
