Interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated that the discussion held on Thursday with the president of the European People's Party, Manfred Weber, focused on the political situation in Romania, European funds and the reforms that our country must continue to carry out, emphasizing that Romania needs to continue reforms, increase competitiveness and modernize.

'Today I had a good discussion with the president of the European People's Party, Manfred Weber. We discussed the political situation in Romania, European funds and the reforms we need to make in the coming period. Romania needs continued reforms, increased competitiveness and modernization. These are objectives that we have assumed and that we will support,' Ilie Bolojan wrote on Facebook.

He mentioned that he thanked the EPP leader for the support given to Romania and for the wishes conveyed before the PNL Congress.

The President of the European People's Party, Manfred Weber, announced that he had a telephone conversation on Thursday with the leader of the PNL, interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan.

'I started my day with an excellent call with the Prime Minister of Romania, Ilie Bolojan. I thanked him again for the clear policies he is implementing in the Government and we discussed the political situation in Romania,' the EPP president wrote on his Facebook page.
