The National Directorate of Cybersecurity (DNSC) has published the schedule for the 2026 edition of the Bucharest Cybersecurity Conference (BCC2026), a reference event for the international dialogue on cybersecurity, to be organised with Bitdefender on October 20-22, 2026, in Bucharest.

BCC2026 will bring together representatives of public authorities, European and international institutions, industry leaders, experts and representatives of academia. The conference is designed as a high-level dialogue platform for the international cybersecurity community.

The schedule includes keynotes by experts, industry representatives, authorities and international organisations, as well as interactive sessions such as panels and fireside chat, dedicated to the exchange of experience, analysis of the latest trends and identification of concrete and applicable solutions to current challenges.

At the same time, roundtable conferences, workshops and practical exercises will take place, designed to encourage direct dialogue, collaboration between participants and the development of common perspectives on how organisations and communities can anticipate, prevent and manage cyber threats more effectively.

The activities will provide participants with the opportunity to identify directions of cooperation and to transform strategic discussions into initiatives and solutions that can actually contribute to strengthening cyber security and resilience.

Participants include: Inge Bryan - independent advisor, Chair of Datenna; Jonathan Luff - chief of staff and chief of global affairs, Recorded Future; Andrei Florescu - chairman and CEO of Bitdefender; Mohamed Al Kuwaiti - head of cybersecurity at the government of the United Arab Emirates; Len Khodorkovsky - senior advisor to the President, Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue University; Virgil Spiridon - head of the office for the Cybercrime Programme, Council of Europe; David Timis - senior expert in artificial intelligence governance, Global Governance Institute; Stefan Apostolescu - senior engineer in IT network security, Rompetrol, and Iulian Hars - cybersecurity engineer, Google.
