The Ministry of National Defence (MApN) announced, regarding the drone detected on Monday morning, that the IAR-330 SOCAT helicopter of the Romanian Air Force flying over the Targu Bujor-Matca area, Galati county, has so far found no signs of impact and has not discovered any fragments or other elements indicating that an object had fallen on the Romanian territory.
The air alert ended at 8:52, and the two F-16 aircraft of the Romanian Air Force landed at the 86th Air Base at Borcea, a MApN release sent to AGERPRES mentioned.
The MApN's radar surveillance system detected intermittent signals in the Republic of Moldova's airspace, in the Cahul area, at around 06:00 on Monday, with one of them subsequently appearing in the Targu Bujor area, Galati county, thus a RO-ALERT message was sent to the population.
