Romanian athlete Alexandra Stefania Uta won the gold medal in the women's 400m hurdles on Sunday at the World Athletics U20 Championships in Eugene (Oregon), setting a new championship record of 55.33 seconds.

The silver medal went to South African athlete Tumi Ramokgopa in 55.88 seconds, while the bronze was claimed by Greek athlete Eleni Iakovaki in 55.99 seconds.
