President Nicusor Dan marked Romanian-American Friendship Day on Saturday with a message highlighting the value of the Strategic Partnership between the two countries and stressing that strengthening it is 'vital'.

'Today we celebrate Romanian-American Friendship Day. This is a special opportunity to emphasise the truly unique value of our Strategic Partnership and to reflect on the strength of our vibrant relationship and the opportunities we can create together as allies, partners and close friends,' the head of state wrote on the social media platform X.
