An aerial target flying north-east of the town of Vylkove, in Ukraine, near the Romanian border, was detected on Tuesday evening by the radar surveillance system of the Ministry of National Defence, and two Romanian Air Force F-16 aircraft were scrambled to monitor the situation.
According to the Ministry of National Defence, its radar surveillance system detected an aerial target flying north-east of Vylkove, in Ukrainian territory, near the Romanian border.
The National Military Command Centre notified the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations that measures were being taken to alert the population in northern Tulcea County, and an RO-ALERT message was sent at 11.35 pm.
